Rev. Dr. Walter G. Joseph came to faith in Christ over 40 years ago and has been involved in Christian ministry ever since. He is an ordained minister with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC). Pastor Walter has been happily married to his teenage sweetheart Erica for the past 30 years, and they have two young adult children. Pastor Walter has been pastoring for 25 years, and he and Erica are the co-founders of Walking on the Water Ministries in Brampton, where he has been serving as Lead Pastor for the past 16 years. His desire is to see churches collaborate to fulfill the Biblical mandate of the Great Commandment, Matthew 22:34-40 and the Great Commission, Matthew 28:16-20 – loving God, loving people, making disciples. He continues to use his training and experience to develop and mentor leaders, to serve the body of Christ and to impact the wider community and the world.
Pastor Walter is also a leadership consultant-coach and family mediator, with 26 years of leadership experience in the non-profit/religious sector, and 18 years of leadership experience in management and senior management positions in the corporate business sector. His experience includes 10 years of leading and mentoring youth within the Greater Toronto area. He is the founder of and mediator at Mesites Family Mediation (phonetic spelling - mes-ee'-tace) and is currently a Mediator in Training at Toronto Family Mediation Services / Mediate393. He has a passion for working with and helping individuals and families navigate the challenges of their life’s journey through mediation.
Pastor Walter's academic accomplishments include a Doctor of Ministry degree in leadership (DMin) from Tyndale University, and a Certificate in Family Mediation from York University. He is a member of the Ontario Association of Family Mediators (OAFM), and the Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario (FDRIO), currently pursuing both the Accredited Family Mediator designation (AccFM) and the Certified Specialist in Family Mediation designation (FDRP Med).
